Fun Fitness Events in London

Beginner class in Hula Hooping. All you need to bring is a smile and a pair of hoops. This introductory class will introduce you to the basics of Hula Hooping and help you to become more confident in your 1st Hoop Dance after a short 15-minute warm-up. Learn how to hula hoop with fun interactive games and best practices, and learn on your own with self-paced learning.
These sessions are open to anyone who has never hula hooped before.
There will be several other classes that are an introduction to Hooping or advanced hooping techniques, as well as the Hula Hoop Fashion Show to celebrate the start of the new year.
Tooting Run Club: Mid-Week Run
Dates: Wed, January 25, 7:00 PM
Location: Tooting Bec Athletics Track Tooting Bec Road London SW17 3NP
Weekly run hosted by Tooting Run Club. Groups will be split into easy and medium-paced groups. It will be a chilled 5k and very family-friendly. There is a kid’s zone before the run, and the run will take place in fields close to the cricket green.
A small group that organises weekly runs in Tooting Bec. We have no set distances or time constraints, so you will never know what will happen next. But on our runs, we aim to make everyone feel welcome, regardless of their fitness level or experience on foot.
Volunteers run Tooting Run Club from various backgrounds and races from all over London and Surrey (and beyond), taking part in our events at free-to-enter events because we want this to be for everyone.
BLOK Rooftop Boxing
Dates: Saturday, January 23

BLOK Rooftop Boxing is a unique group fitness class that combines boxing-inspired training with adventure and technology. This 60-minute class combines high-intensity movements with strength and conditioning drills, all choreographed to music.
The class begins with a warm-up that comprises a combination of slow and explosive leg warm-ups, punches and kicks to the body, and posture exercises. The central part of the class will then see participants engage in high-intensity circuit training, including boxing-inspired activities such as shadowboxing, punch combinations, and mitt drills. Each circuit is guided by our professional instructors, who will guide the movement while keeping the class safe. This session is open to all fitness levels; anyone can join regardless of experience or fitness level.

Yes, we know this is more fun rather than fitness!
Super Bowl Sunday is a celebration of American Football and is one of Europe’s largest American Football events. The event consists of live music, food stalls, merchandise stalls, and a licensed bar. Attendees can enjoy the game from a designated paid stand, watch the game on massive screens, and enjoy free food, drink, merchandise and music. If you’re interested in attending this event, please make sure you get there early to grab a spot in the crowd.
Retroglow Fitness Classes
Dates: Every Sunday throughout January
Location: The Rooftop at One Hundred Shoreditch
Retroglow uses music from the ’80s to the ’90s, with classic dance moves and groovy tunes. The workout is unique for each class, but you can always expect the activities to be super fun and set at a leisurely pace.
The Rooftop is a great environment to work out in. It’s the perfect place to de-stress or forget that Monday morning is just around the corner. All fitness levels are welcome; our classes are non-intimidating, so you’ll find your groove quickly.
Whether you’re looking for a fun way to get fit with friends or new to exercise and trying something new, we’ve got you covered.
The One Hundred Shoreditch Rooftop is a cool, fun space to work out in. The roof has panoramic views of the City skyline, perfect for a workout before or after work.

Learn To Swing Dance

Location: The Mildmay Club in Dalston.
Learn to Swing Dance! A fun, friendly, and low-impact dance style, perfect for the whole family.
The Mildmay Club’s resident dancers will teach you the basic steps in a friendly and welcoming environment. No experience is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to enjoy yourself. All genders and ages are welcome!
Swing dance is an exciting partner dance that all ages can enjoy. It is excellent for socializing, keeping fit, and learning to listen to music.

The great Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 is back in the capital and promises to be better than ever! As a member of TeachFirst, you’ll be part of some big fun and support the charity TeachFirst; to kick off the weekend, we have your chance to run in the Essex 100.
Teach first is one of our favourite charities for helping disadvantaged children get into education. They do this by recruiting bright kids from deprived backgrounds and offering them mentoring from qualified teachers in schools across the UK. This is an incredible achievement, and it’s great that we can support them by running for them!
The race will be an enjoyable challenge and an opportunity to share your talents with a cause that matters. Please note that this charity entry has a minimum fund target of £500. We can’t do this without donations, so we hope you can spare some time to raise money for this great cause.
The 46th Dartford Half Marathon

The event is one of Britain’s longest-standing half marathons, organised by Dartford Harriers for 46 years. It provides an excellent opportunity to run on Dartford’s streets and entertain yourself with a fun-filled weekend.
Now more than ever, the race is challenging and brings you through the beautiful scenery of Dartford. To join the event, you’ll need to register in advance, and it’s essential to attend by this deadline, as registration will be closed at capacity.

Afrobeats vs. Dancehall

Afrobeats vs Dancehall is an exciting new concept that combines dance and fitness with a live DJ. The two styles are combined in a series of high-energy workouts where you will be guided through the steps to some of the biggest hits from both Afrobeats and Dancehall. Both styles are energetic; Afrobeats is typically fast-paced, while dancehall has more of a relaxed flow to it. The workout is entirely suitable for all levels, and everyone is welcome.
