Are You Going Through the Motions In the Gym?

Think about the last time you went to the gym

Are you someone who floats around for two hours talking to everyone you see?. Then spending five minutes between sets finding a good song on your iPod?

Or are you someone who marches into the gym and gets everything done with a clear focus, then gets out?

If you are the first person, at least you are making it to the gym, which is more than can be said for some people.

With time being at a premium for most of us, why not become more efficient with your workouts?

You should train with purpose.

Training shouldn’t be just a series of reps.

There is a reason that you are giving up your free time to go to the gym.

It might be that you want to “look better naked”, “become stronger” or simply “to improve your fitness”.

All of these are very common goals.

Though simply turning up to the gym two days a week isn’t the best way to go about achieving them.

If you have a well-balanced programme that you are consistent with, over time all of the above will fall into place.

Most gym-goers lack direction with their programme.

Do you have a set programme when you get to the gym that is going to progressively get you where you want to be?

You should have.

Getting in shape very rarely happens by accident.

You need a purpose, a goal.

A lot of the time people are actually a little confused as to what their training goal is.

Which is why we have our gym standards.

They give people a target, something to train for.

If you have any questions on the above or would like some advice on how we could help you with your fitness goal instead of just going through the regular motions, visit one of our personal training gyms in London and try one of our personal fitness training sessions.
